Picture request: Tinted windows

Anyone got any pics of light smoke tinted windows on a black or dark 944?
and also that light green tint.

Cant decide which...if any would suit?

Also saw on the net clear top halfs for the rear lights, anyone got a pic of a dark car with clear rear lens? i cant decide if they would just look too chavish, but also a lightly tinted rear lens might look rather good on a black car? Noticed theres some nice all red ones on ebay now but if i get clear front indicatiors and sides ive gotta keep some colour scheme there..

what do you guys think? black and more black or black and clear bits? [:)]

I'd keep with the original look mate, but its up to you at the end of the day.

Edit: Clear lenses are pretty nice though [8D]

There are some new laws regarding window tints, it`d be a good idea to check them out first. Personally I`d leave them standard, unless you`re contemplating a drive-by.

I personally beleive in restoring a car to all its former glory.
Although there's nothing wrong in being a bit individual as long as it doesnt become chavish.

Never mind the tinted windows......

Hilux, how did you do you door handles? They're not 968 handles are they?

Phil

I would leave it as it is because sometimes you can over do these things when original can usually be best.

No they are not. It had a really good respray two owners back and the handles were painted to match. I would imagine that if you took off the handles they would be simple to spray with a can?

ahh did you say light smoke! Sorry should have read the post better! I think the dark smoke looks evil though (I love it)

CHAV! [;)]

I agree with Andy; the car should be left exactly as it came out of the factory in every way. [:D]

lol dont worry, i probably would have been asking for darker tints too!

Certainly does make your car look evil! any reason you aint put clear indicators on?

I half agree with what people say about keeping it as it left the factory, but i think suttle changes are acceptable, like lightly tinted glass... not something you would think "oh thats obviously not ment to be like that"

the silver car with light green looks rather nice! [:)]

I think tinting can be a good thing. It certainly is of use in Australia and something I think I may pursue, but what are the real world issues with it? I imagine it would be pretty tricky to do a good job on the rear hatch too, or am I mistaken. I've never done it before,....er tinting that is!

if your using film then yeah tricky on the rear, but if your getting a firm to do it not something you would worry about? [:)]

Try going outside at night with your sun glasses on and then consider what an advantage window tint is - perhaps this is why there is a legal restriction on how dark your screen and side windows can be.

Aside the safety issues it must make reversing and parking at night a right pain in the bum.

I have no problem with those who like or want tinted windows, in fact I had it all round in a Range Rover and during bright hot summer days it was great (although I felt a bit like a pimp). And great for families leaving the kiddies in the back.
But at night or in foggy conditions I often wound down the windows just to double check what was coming.
