Sorry for the delay !

I think I'm about to change web host company because of continuing problems with their web and mail servers. I'm having to use greater jpeg compression to upload the pics until the problems are solved, so apologies for the image quality on some pages.

Husborne Crawley Autojumble pics are HERE

RMA Trackday at Bedford Autodrome are HERE

Pictures of Keith Elvins' 968 CS are HERE

See John Simms new turbocharger HERE

If you know anyone who's car appears, let them know. As usual, original files are available ... 3072x2048 pixel jpeg format

The good news is that my spare cylinder head, inlet manifold, throttle body and cam/tower are at CTM heads for work to start ! The bad news is still Danno and the missing MAP kit ! (and a delay on my T04e turbocharger).

After a long discussion with Mike and Dave Lindsey yesterday (Lindsey Racing), some more 'bits' should start to arrive soon. I've got a feeling that this one is going to run and run ....

I've perhaps mentioned befor that if your car insn't on Ricks site somewhere then you don't have a Porsche.

A word of warning - If you ever think of being unfaithful do not turn up at a 944 gathering as photographic evidence will be available. [;)]

Hmmmm, you trying for 1psi of boost John

What exactly is that anyway?

I thought I might connect it to the exhaust outlet to suck the gasses out thus improving flow rates within the system.

You don't remember which seller had that foglamp do you. A rock has just smashed one of mine to pieces [] and I need to ring around for another. Don't fancy a brand new one at £80 as it won't match the chipped one I already have on the other side [:D]

You should pick up some covers from Simon Butterworth. Mine are cracked to death, but I haven't lost a lens since I fitted them.

I really wish I'd made the time to go now - it was a lovely day (in contrast to the one I did go to when it was tipping down) and after thinking I didn't need anything I then went on to decide not 2 days later (as you do) that I want to replace my PAS with a nice manual rack.

I know but I just don't like the look of them [&:] I don't think they would have helped with the 'brick' that smacked mine. I have two layers of helicopter tape over them which have many many dents on, but it punched a hole almost 1" round straight through the lens and made a lovely star crack to all 4 edges. It's still in place and working because of the tape but I obvioulsy want to replace it.

......and yes the screws are totally rusted and rounded off even after two weeks of soaking in WD40. I am hoping I can drill them out without damaging the rear reflector ££££££

......and the bulb has just blown on the other one, and thats all rusted together too []. Anyone got £400 for two new complete units []

That's either a low pressure turbo from a Volvo, or the M7890 optional, exhuast driven, hair drier for a Cayenne.:ROFLMAO:

Are you trying to remove the mounting screws or separate the two halves?
If the attachment is similar to the 924 then this is what I did.
If its the mounting screws, take off the bumper and drill through from the back and tap out the inserts. The rusty screws can then be cut off at a convenient point and new threaded inserts glued in using fibre glass resin or cyanoacrylate, whichever you are happiest with. Hope this helps.

Its the screws holding the two halves together, the lens and the backing plate. I knew in advance that many people have problems with these rusting up and some have ruined the rear backing plate trying to get them out, resulting in a whole new unit needed. I've managed to loosen 3 out of 4 on one side, and 2 out of 4 on the other, so I'll keep soaking in easing oil for a while before I get destructive []

I'd go with that Paul, assuming you are in no hurry to get the light appart. "Patience is a virtue" as they say.
