Ladies and Gentlemen. I don't know how many of you ever get over to Pistonheads.com but the usual crew are arranging the third annual "Pie On The Beach" meet. Basically a convoy drive from Basingstoke (and other locations), to the Seven Stars near Petersfield and then on to Hayling Island for an afternoon by the beach.

Its on September the 5th and you will find threads and so on over on Pistonheads. If there's any interest shown here I'll post a link to the web pages I do every year with the schedule on a little nearer the time. But if you fancy an alternative to the Goodwood revival feel free to join us. Stick the date in your diary: SEPTEMBER 5th.

Descriptive thread here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=3&f=65&t=107981&h=0

Invites are going to the local TVRCC region and also the Lotus crowd. All marques welcome - come and see some different beasties and show off your machines! Last year I took my BoxS - this year it could be the Chimaera...unless you lot tell me different!

Please let me know if you fancy it...I'll check back on this thread every couple of days and make sure you're aware of the details as they emerge...

I certainly will keep you updated, gentlemen. When the descriptive web-pages are done I'll be posting links to them on Pistonheads and I will also do so here so you can see what's planned...and hopefully fancy coming along!

Splendid. I'll be reminding our routemaster he's supposed to have given me autoroute files for the drive today in a moment....look for web-pages very soon. Looks like a good few Loti ;) will be coming, TVRs of course and now some lovely Porsches! Excellent!

You can now find details of what we've cooked up here:

I hope some of the local PCGB members might pop along and enjoy a "multi-marque" day out!

Lets hope its SUNNY!

Well, chaps, where were you?

Loads of cars turned up - including a lovely Boxster S. An Ultima, a Ferrari 355, oodles of TVR Chimaeras, Griffiths, Tuscans and Cerberas. We had an Exige, several Elises, a rather nice bright yellow Honda S2000, a classic MG Roadster (fantastic) but just one Porsche.

Next time come along! The sun beat down and everyone had a great time! All in all around 50 cars enjoyed a drive through the Hampshire countryside and an afternoon at the beach...

I promise to give people some more notice next time....but I did[/i] email our RO...

Anyway. Next time, eh....

Best Regards,

Don

How did I miss you? Sorry, Charlie...and thanks for coming. The black Boxster S was lovely but I missed your 944 turbo and the blue machine...

More Porsches next time, I hope! But thanks again!

Sorry Don, due to family commitments couldnt make it , please let me know when the next one is.
