Pie & Peas at November Club Night

Just a note to all yorkshire region members......

As per the discussion last club night we plan to have pie and peas at the next club night on Nov 2nd and the new owner of the pub who is making great efforts to look after us has written as below......

"...steak & ale pie, mushy peas and jacket potatoes for £5 per head."

So, I'd like some idea of numbers.... a reply with Yes, how many people and your names will do. Of course, the landlord needs to buy in so he needs an answer by this coming Frday night (28th) so pls help me to help him as the changes he has made are clearly beneficial to the club.

Can you pls send to my email waynecollins@blueyonder.co.uk

Also, while everyone is munching away we could run a presentation covering all the events we have had this yr ( we ran out of time last month) as I have many pics...

If you have any more I'll be happy to collate them into one bundle, show them on the night and then make up a little web site afterwards for you to browse at your leisure.

If you have some pls mail me on the above address and i'll suggest the best method to get the pics to me as pictures fill up my email account so i have another account i can use for that purpose..so, c'mon lets see what you've taken!!

I am away on business next sun to tues so the pics need sorting for friday as well.

Cheers

Wayne Collins

I have 5 so far with a fair few more just confirming... come 'on folks treats like this don't come round that often[:D]

Its only a fiver each with free raffle and 'brief' slideshow (i've just gone and said the dreaded word but at least this will be no more than 30 mins while we eat) of piccies the region have taken during the year at events......

Also, we have the chance of mulled wine and mince pies for the Decmber meeting so lets see if we can get this off the ground to make club nights a bit of a better 'do'.

Wayne

Put me and Emma down for the pie and peas, (except she doesn' t like pie, or peas), so put her down for a jacket spud and the vegetarian option if there is going to be one.

You can also put Richard and John down on your list (they are not yet forum users and asked me to pass the message on).

If we are are going to be upstairs at the Crown eating mushy peas it is a good job you improved the through ventilation there last month!
If you are going to open any more windows should I bring some sellotape to repair the damage?

See you on Wednesday

Paul

Ok folks we're up to twenty so far....there must be more pie eaters out there!!!

Just so no-one misses out on this great night i know some people don't use the forum and may not have been at last club night so if you want to give your porsche club colleagues a nudge asap and let me know the outcome as I don't want any sad faces on the night as the landlord is making the pies to order so there could be some going hungry who haven't got on the list!!!!!

Names like Randolph, Peter, Mark, Jacob, Neil, Glen, Graham, Mike Lumb, etc are all not on the list and i don't have phone nos so anyone who has....can you do the business pls. I'm hopinf to let the landlord know by friday night pls.

It looks like Cheese'n'onion is the veggie option if thats OK??

Cheers all

Hi Wayne -

Put me down for 1. Peter B is at the NEC so will not be able to make it.

Happy motoring - Randolph

Hi Wayne,

Irene and I are going to be there on the night, so book 2 places for us. I will also try to bring some of the photos I have taken over the summer, I'll bring them on a stick.

Regards

Adam

Jacob,

Say meet by 8 and eat by 8.30?? I haven't agreed a time with the landlord yet but this seems sensible. Are you up for it??

Jocob,

You are on the list.

That makes 32.

Unfortunately as the landlord is buying in for this job everyone has to order up front so if anyone else wants to tuck in on the night you'll be disappointed to find its the names on the list only as i'm be sending them a ticket that for £5 can be exchanged for supper!!!!!

So this is your last chance folks

Steak and ale or cheese & onion pie'n'peas and a jacket spud........£5.

Mail me as below as i'm mailing the order in at 8am Sat morning.

Cheers

wayne

Wayne,

You seem to suggest we need to specify what we want to eat. In our case, we prefer the steak & ale pie; so please reserve 2 portion for Irene and I

Regards

Adam & Irene

Sorry Adam there's no need. Its just i had to split out any veggies to warn the landlord. I have 2 so far and everyone else is meet eaters so no worries.

Hi there,

I have just phoned up the Crown inn and just added myself and Lizzie. We got back from Spain late last night and have just read the posts on here.

Regards,

Neil & Lizzie
