Pint Bubbles

I have noticed a few spots of paint bubbling around the lower windscreen seal and on one wiper mount.
I understand this is a "common" problem area with the 993.
It is minor at the moment but should I act now?
If so who should I get to do the work, OPC or independent ?
I live in Cornwall so don't have easy access to many decent garages/bodyshops.

Rusty 993???? Someone must have used Ted Moult to install a new windshield.... Get it sorted real quick!!! Concur with MoC2S totally!!!

On the Beer front scientific research has proven that 6X has a tendency to reduce the stool firmness quotient considerably and cause an excess of particularly noxious gasses. Short people who drive Clubsport 911's are particularly susceptible.

In Mel's case it would explain a lot.

Try Gales HSB for a similar but slightly reduced effect.

It's hooking the noxious gasses up to the air-intake that is the clever bit (needs to go through an intercooler first though to cool them down...)

I resemble that remark[:D]

It is certainly not uncommon guys. I had it and got it sorted under warranty. OPC have had to do this to many 993's and later models. It is more common in the lower corners of the windscreen but caused by the same problem which is body flex causing the the windscreen seals rubbing down to bare metal and then corrosion by water sitting under the seal.

As Maurice mentions if the book is stamped up then it should be covered under warranty.

Yep, my local OPC sorted mine out under warranty but wanted to check the service record first to make sure it was fully stamped. I noticed a similar problem on a number of 993's before I bought mine so I would guess it is fairly common. Good luck
