Pioneer Navigation

I am looking to install a Pioneer AVIC SatNav, with Blue Tooth, Ipod etc, in my 996. I fancy the HD3 system, but have been advised that this is too big, but the D3 will fit ok. I assume this must be a depth issue, but have been unable to find the dimensions. Can anybody shed any light on this. Also any comments on the Pioneer systems wlcome.

Thanks

It should fit fine. Mine is the HD1BT. It needed a small filler strip along the top edge but was fine for width and depth.

Richard, that looks great. Problem is I am dealing with the portugese here, so bit of a communication difficulty, but I will take them your pic and show them. I am sure they were trying to tell me that the unit is too deep.

Harry nothing wrong with "the" portuguese - ranked top 5 in speaking other languages, average portuguese speaks 2 plus mother tongue .) where the first optional is always english, hard to find a non english speaker in Portugal, unless you go for the really rural areas.

Anyway, if you need any help with translation / setup, give me a shout - Im Portuguese and can "bridge" whatever requests/concerns you might have.

Cheers and good luck

Proenca, muito obrigado. Having lived here for nearly 3 yrs, I am constantly embarrassaed by the fact that most Portugese speak far better english than I do portugese (i am having lessons though), however we do tend to have communication problems in techncal areas, and I get a little nervous when dealing with my prde and joy !!

No problem Harry - whereabouts in Portugal you live ? I have a friend who has no taste - he's one of those ricer's that had a TT, 350Z and so forth completely full of sound and vision. Oh well, he's a nice guy and also quite wealthy - hes quite anal about his cars, he has good connections with shops/installers and can give you a few pointers which installers are the best, etc etc. Let me know
