beings you've put the link at the bottom of your sig, I thought I'd have a read. While I like the idea, I'm just wondering what experiences you have of it.

I also thought rather than just mail you, it will be of interest to most of the people who use petrol on here (which I guess is quite a few! [:D] )

Personally, I'm against the idea of another bleedin credit card, but saying that, if the ideas can be proved that you DO get cheaper fuel, and if it's not as though there are 4 filling stations over the UK that participate, then it does in theory sound good!

Mike,[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]I'm usually wary of these things, but in this case it seems no risk. Basically the idea is that they need enough people to join that they can interest an oil company and then that oil company will give a discount (aim is 4p/litre) to members. Oil company gets the loyal custom of those members in return I guess, so if it's Shell then they will sell more petrol as members will come to them rather than Esso round the corner. It's non-profit and non-cost, you just get a card and show it to claim a discount when buying fuel.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]At the moment it's at the stage of getting people to register interest. I can confirm that after registering a few weeks ago I have had only 1 email from them and no spam, so it seems to be kosher and doesn't fill your inbox with junk.[FONT=verdana, geneva"]

Fair 'nuff.

So it's not actually a working scheme yet, just a "potential".

As you say, it doesn't look as if it can hurt (especially if I give them my titanic e-mail account! That's usually spammed about 30 times a day as it is!!! [:D] ), and if it does indeed get going ,then great!

4p isn't bad I suppose. That'll be about £2.50 off a tank. better than a kick up the you-know-where for the sake of an e-mail. Register it is then! Now to whack the link up on a Mini forum! That should get the numbers up a few thousand (all those poor students and all!).

By strange coincidence I joined this morning (only takes 30 secs), after reading about it in evo mag this month.

Don't see any potential dissadvantage tbh.

If your buying lots of shell its worth joining the loyalty scheme, (double points for optimax), you have to carry an extra card but you get vouchers back for B&Q etc. or shell, or ferrari merchandise, magazine subscriptions etc. i have had over £100 pounds back over the last couple of years,
Tony
