Hi all,

ive recently purchased a full set of Pirelli PZeros for my 2006 C4S from Black Circles as these offered the best price.
Do any members know if the Pirelli offer of cash back applies to purchases from Black Circle?

Thanks in advance.

I thought you had to have an approved Pirelli reseller fit them and they had to be ordered from them as well. I would ask Black Circles or Pirelli but I think the answer will be a no.

Unfortunately it does not apply if you bought from Black Circles.

If you look at the PCGB Porschefile booklet under: Members Benefits > Tyres> Pirelli > it states: 'Tyres must be purchased from either a Porsche Centre or a Pirelli Performance Centre'.

Just popped to pro tyre in Welwyn Garden City and they confirmed they were a "PPC" however I've just checked the Pirelli micro site and it states only pro tyre in Enfield or Porsche Hatfield are my closest "PPC's" can anyone from the club clarify if I use Welwyn pro tyre as it's my closest centre, that I would qualify for the cash back offer? My thoughts are I would, likely a simple case the online microsite hasn't been updated!!

Also of interest there are many options for the Pirelli P-Zeros 87Y or 91Y, also the P Zero Corsa, anyone any thoughts comments on the variations of the same tyres? Think it relates to load rating!!

Paul,

I used STS Tyre Pros in Biggleswade and got the Pirelli cash back. They also have a centre in Letchworth so you may want to try there since it may be a bit closer for you.

Thanks Jeff, Letchworth isn't so far but Welwyn would be very handy, I've emailed Chris the details.

Hopefully all will become clear, thanks chaps, anyone any thoughts on the load ratings?

Paul,

As you've alluded to in your previous post, the 87 and 91 relate to the tyre's load rating which essentially is the maximum weight the tyre can carry. An 87 rated tyre has a max loading of 545kg whilst a 91 rated tyre's max loading is 615kg.

Clearly, it's unwise and dangerous to use a tyre with a lower rating than that recommended by the manufacturer and a stiffened (higher rated) tyre is likely to compromise ride comfort and, perhaps, handling.
