Pirelli PZero Rosso or alternatives...

smallspeed

New member
I need some new rear tyres and was going to replace with Pirelli PZero rosso's (N3) as thats whats on there at the moment... Only thing is I cant get any from anywhere!! Aparently they are on back order from Pirelli too, so availability is really bad right now...

Assuming I cant find any before my current tyres run out, can anyone recommend an alternative? I have rosso's on the front too, whcih are in good nick, so dont intend to change them, so something that would work ok in conjunction..

Thanks in advance

Neve a good idea to mix tyre brands, even front and back. But if you are stuck, my thought would be go for Michelin, Bridgestone and then Conti's. I think the Michelin pilot sports are the closest to the Pirelli. I would also ask you tyre dealer. But my top advice would be to get the Pirelli's - can't be that long to get a set over????

apparently they are on back order everywhere at the moment, and virtually no stock in the UK. Pirelli are not taking orders at the moment, and are sending out notification when they have stock available... We had a similar thing at work about 6months ago with BF Goodrich tyres (I work in construction equipment) where there was like a rubber shortage and we couldn't get tyres for love nor money!..

On the plus side, I found a guy on ebay of all places who has 20 pairs in the correct size for 125 a tyre plus £12 delivery for a pair, so 262 all in which doesnt seem bad; he is registered as "east coast tyres" incase anyone else is struggling. These are the correct size, brand new and N3 spec. My local tyre fitter has agreed to fit them for me for £10 if I get them as he can't locate any for me, and he specialises in performance cars (lotus/noble/caterham mostly due to location) so Im not too nervous having him do it...
