Following on from last month's meeting we have limited spaces to visit the the Pirelli Factory in Carlisle. The tour is only able to accomadate a maximum of 20 club members and as such will be on a first come basis. I covered this at last nights Club meeting and already have several names who wishing to attend. Because of security we must provide a list of names attending by the 25th of November with the tour taking place on Wednesday the 30th starting at 11.00am Dalston Rd, Carlisle CA2 6AR. Because of data protection if you wish to add your name to the growing list please add your first name and email me your full name to r3@porscheclubgb.com. So if you have wondered what it takes to make a tyre now is your chance to find out.

For those who are going from the south of the region across on the A66, there is a tentative meeting point at 9:45 to 10:00. The first large lay-by at the top of the climb, after the A66 is joined by the road from Barnard Castle (A67)

Looking forward to it.

Thought to allow a bit more time due to ongoing A66 issues. Suggest meeting time of 9:30 for anyone who can make it. Happy to offer a lift to anyone from the south of the region. Please pm me.

See you there (or Carlisle [:)])

Hi John,
I'll try to get there for 9:30...

Simon

Thanks Greg and Deb for organising this visit. It was fascinating to see the manufacturing process and Pirelli pulled the stops out by having senior staff on hand to explain it all to us. (Good buffet too - sausage sandwiches included[:)]) Very worthwhile trip.

Cheers, John

Thanks to Greg and Deb, very interesting talk and tour. Seeing what goes into manufacturing and tech I don't feel quite so bad about the price of them now.

Tasty and unexpected buffet ?? Saved me a few quid too since and promised jasmine lunch on the way home. Bonus.
