The following invitation has arrived from Pete Spence, the 911SC register secretary.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]What they're looking for is two cars for an hour each on separate days (Sun and Mon) to be used to demonstrate various repair and servicing techniques, as listed below.[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Do we have any volunteers for cars and/or people to chat about the work being undertaken?[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]Nick Fearn[FONT=verdana, geneva"] [FONT=verdana, geneva"]****************[FONT=verdana, geneva"]We have three pit garages for the Technical Arena, in one Parr Motorsport will be showcasing Boxster , GT3, 996 and 997 road and track cars (the modern era), in another pit Chips Away will have a continuous demonstration of repairs to paint dings, wheels and the like and in the third pit garage the club in partnership with a Southern based Independent Porsche Specialist 'Carrera Performance' will put on a demonstration of maintenance and discussions about options and modifications for Classic Porsche including 356, 944, 928 , 911 and 964.
There is as you can see from the attached itinerary an hours slot devoted to the 944, rather than just take over the whole thing I want to include the specific car register members in the activity related to their car. What I am looking for is a little bit of back up on the days and also some one such as yourself who would be willing to commentate on a mike to the spectators about the demonstration in progress, this would obviously require some technical knowledge and mostly enthusiasm. I think this will be a great opportunity to have some fun working on our cars that we love so much any help especially on the commentating front and the supply of a car for an hour would be a great help. You can design your own program based on the list below or add to it, There would have to a little chat with Jez Parsons Of Carrera Performance (mechanic on the day) before the event just to tidy things up.
