Hello all

Has anyone got any particular roads they like to take their porsche for a run out on or end up at. I always seem to get stuck for ideas where to go and end up driving a similar route when out and about, also if their are any good pubs on route for lunch. Thought it might be a good idea if we share some ideas with summer on the way.

Cheers Sean

Try the run from Sunderland - up past the Metro Centre and then up to Blanchland in Northumberland. A great mixture of fast roads and country roads. Up over the moors - through some 'interesting' dips and hills. Fantastic scenery and lovely place when you get there... and then it's all to do again on the way back!!!

Make sure though that you time your run so that it does not co-incide with the daft beggars who get their pleasure at the Metro Centre!!! Aaagh!!!!

The A686 that starts outside Haydon Bridge goes for quite a while through great country roads and finishes at the top of the mountain with a little cafe, v.good run!

Extend that run down to Melmerby, turn around and then go up back up to the cafe.
Last time I was on that road I was on a bike. More fun than doing it in the 964.[:)]

Cheers,

I agree that road is great on a bike, will wait for some better weather and put the roof down see if I can get the same effect in the 911.

Cheers

Sean
