Plastic cover lost inside door - Doh!

Yes. One of those moments when a simple sub 1 minute task suddenly becomes a major operation. Cleaning the inside of the door at the front/hinge end I removed the small 2"x1" black plastic cover to clean underneath and it slipped from my mitts and down through the hole it was supposed to cover!

Question is, how do I get it out? Would that area of the door be accessible via the speaker aperture or do I need to remove the door panel? I could just order another cover but I'd rather not have to leave the original inside the door.

Many thanks,

David.

As Andy says it is easy to remove door card and it goes back easily too without damage.

You will need some tape to seal up the door membrane again as it never sticks back properly and while you are in there check the condition of the rail connected to the window as mine failed recently through rusting away. If corroded I would spray with dinatrol/waxoil or similar to slow the rust as it is a s-d of a job replacing them.
