My C4S was Seal, and it is the most practical colour going, it shows no dirt (so you don't have to wash it all the time) and hides any minor marks, or surface scratches.
It looks good in the sun, but a bit drab in the winter.

The current car is Atlas, which is not that different to Basalt. The darker colours look more imposing, but show dirt more easily, every surface blemish is noticeable and the stone chips are more obvious.

In the long run I expect the Basalt will look tatty more quickly, but it depends how many miles you do.
Bits can always be resprayed (after 5 years or something).

I think I would prefer the darker colour. A lot of cars are now silver.

I would stick with your first choice, since you obviously had a reason to choose it. Go with gut instinct.
Or go for blue.

I'm far from the worlds best speller & would not normally comment on typo's but perrrrrrlease can we all spell Porsche correctly?

Why? I think that we all know what people mean; are you going to seek a ban on 'Porker'? By the way, I though that the word was spelt 'please' not 'perrrrrrlease'![;)]
