That site posted by Melv has just about all you need to know about the 964. In addition I bought The ultimate buyers guide on the 964 by Peter Morgan (you can get it from Amazon).

Accept that there are very few perfect 964s out there and that you'll have to spend a bit to whip one into shape. Those that are perfect, are probably the pride and joy of members on here [8D].

Set yourself a budget for the purchase and have a slush fund of about ÂŁ5K to cover servicing, running costs and any unforseen problems that you might have to fix in the first year of ownership. Personally, I was happier to buy a high miler that had already had money spent on a partial engine re-build than a low mileage car that would need major work in the future.

If possible buy from an enthusiast or a reputable independent Porsche dealer. Pistonheads is a better place to look than Autotrader.

I've been on that website as i'm looking into all things 964 at the moment. I agree its very informative but there doesn't seem to be anything from 2005 onwards. Did john sell his 964 and just move on ?

Sorry - a resend - did not finish the first message.

I have the name of someone who is selling their blue 964 Targa (1993) - a C4.

Says it is in very good condition (I think 117k miles but would need to check) and is keen to sell it. Ex channel island car, rhd. Based in Kent.

If anyone interested let me know.
