Hi Everyone
I noted that a couple of you have put your car details on-line. This is not the forum to add car details so I have deleted the two that were posted - We must be careful what info gets posted - If you do want to post car details PLEASE DO NOT put up chassis No' s and Registration Numbers together - there are some unscrupulous operators out there so watch out.
Also, I would NOT advise you to put up addresses or phone numbers.
I am currently working on an on-line database which will be available to all members and will be searchable by chassis numbers - all this over a secure connection. The current database is therefore on hold - please bear with me and my Database Assistant (Dr Anthony Schuker) for a few more weeks.
It is part of my job to mediate this forum so please keep matters within acceptable limits. I have the facility to maintain all messages and delete if unappropriate. I would also ask you all to let me know if something goes up that is not within the ' spirit of things' .
So far, this forum is looking good.......

Any advice for selling via the site?

I've just read your post and also just posted my 996 for sale (no low level details)....and now I'm a little anxious.

Was thinking this PCGB site afforded a little "protection" from your std average rif raff.

the Forum is no less secure than any other on-line site; it is generally only read by enthusiasts and cannot be trawled by web robots (bots).
It makes sense not to post personal or sensitive information on ANY open Internet site - but, with that precaution, there is absolutley no reason not to post details of items for sale (my own beautiful C4 cab is currently featured!); once an interest is established, communication outside of the Forum can proceed by whatever means suits the individuals involved.
