Hi All,

I am a new member of the club; I recently bought a gorgeous petrol blue 1980 911 SC. Being a classic car enthusiast, I would like to keep the car in top condition and just as with my previous cars I am now looking for a trusted specialist garage. In this case I would like to find a garage that is very knowledgeable about the 911 SC and situated not far from Wimbledon where I am based.

GT One is based in Surrey, I found their contact details in the PorscheFile. Any views on them? Any recommendation in South West London or Surrey? Thank you very much for your recommendations in advance.

Best wishes
Andras

Andras, I suggest you contact Phill Clifton, the SC Register Sec (911sc@porscheclubgb.com) because I don't think he's far from you. The SC register also has Jack Phillips as technical advisor (see PorscheFile)

[also, you're marked on this forum as a Non-Member. This is probably because you've not emailed cluboffice@porscheclubgb.com with your forum name and membership number to ask that you be marked as a member].

Cheers, Dan.

GT One have good reviews. I would also recommend Camtune in Godalming - Dave and Tim run the workshop and provide a good service at a reputable Porsche specialist.

And for a 964 full service Camtune is cheaper than GT One for some silly reason . GT One were also telling me on the quote via the phone they are now if they can, using non Porsche Origianl parts and going OEM to keep the cost down ..why does it cost more then ? Car went to Camtune.

Thank you Dan for the quick response to my post. I sent an e-mail to Phil based on your suggestion. I will also contact the club to sort out my forum status.

Best wishes Andras

GT One - The garage of choice for the 964 RS Register in the South. Big plus is that their labour is only £55 +VAT

Thank you Stewart, it is a great recommendation and the labour cost seems very reasonable.

Best wishes
Andras

I use RSR in Grayshot (near Hindhead down the A3 for you) - very knowledgeable, popular so book in advance! Specialises in RS and older classic "gems"
