Poly bushes?

I've heard a few people mention not to use poly bushes on the 944 apart from the arbs and just wondered what the rationale was behind this. Am starting to get more of a feel for the car now and think that the handling is a bit sloppy. Changing over to poly bushes seems a relatively inexpensive way to straighten things up.

Also looking at Hartech 968 castor mounts and the KLA front arb support brackets that S.A.R. sell on eBay, anyone got any experience of these?

Thanks, David.

I am polybushed and haven't had an issue with them, as far as I am aware. I can't say if they made a significant difference as they were done with other mods.

Get the 968 caster mounts from your Porsche Centre they are nothing special but better than the 944 mounts.

The KLA ARB brackets are good though I have no knowledge of the eBay seller.

I think a few people mentioned poly bushes were a bit harsh for road use so it depends what you going to do with it. Road or track or a bit of both?
Obviously there not much give in them so they can bounce you about a bit and with the state of the roads round here I'd be best without them. Probably best replacing the suspension itself if it hasn't already at some point, new struts and springs will feel amazing compared to the 21 year old ones on there.
Of course there's also the KWv3 which I'm sure someone will be along to suggest to you (its on my list for certain.....maybe next year) and from what I've seen they cost very little more - in my S2's case there was less than £100 in it when I checked, just for the parts that is.

The caster mounts are a must, so much less rubber in them. I replaced mine recently with the Hartech ones and I can tell the difference on the road and I haven't had it realigned yet either.
The support bracket I've seen mentioned on here, I know a few people have them and I was tempted by them but figured I do it a step at a time. I'd have thought you'd only need it for really hard cornering, not the sort of stuff you do on the road (hopefully).
