Polybush help please!

Hello,

Does anyone know the polybush size for a MK1 996 Carrera 4 tip 2001 ? front and back?.

http://www.type911shop.co.uk/shop/category_895/Polyurethane-Bushes.html?sessid=kvpKRmpRhT0ZhFGasYofI15rrWnQ8TwuiFD5LYFtkxsReYKD1YM1VeNxZh0FqlXZ&shop_param=cid%3D%26

Ive put a set of calipers on the roll bar and still cant make up my mind, plus is the bar reduced slightly to stop lateral movement at the point of the bushes which would mean removing the old bush to get a true measurement.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Richard.

Not sure as Porsche arent very helpful and PET has no sizes on it! Its best to measure the bar you have on the car

This is going to confuse things even more for you Richard. I looked at the MY1998 Technical Information book, and this is what it says are the diameters of the tubular anti-roll bars for the C2:

Standard (M029):
F - ø23.1 x 3.4
R - ø18.5 x 2.5

Sport (M030):
F - ø23.6 x 3.5
R - ø19.6 x 2.6

I think you need to bite the bullet and measure them at the bush diameter.

A bit more info from the manual, but not much more help:

Thanks all for your help,

After much research I think I'm actually going to go rubber as the EM are well made and Ive heard a few bad reports from people that have tried poly.

Too hard, noisy etc.

At least it looks like the rears should be 18.5's

Does it have anything to do with the many sizes available?

Worse than going to the sweet shop.

Not to mention that you would have to remove current bushes to measure the hole and even then the sizes are that close it could be an either/or situation. I always thought polybushes were too hard for pure road use.
