I am thinking about replacing the worn bushes on the front wishbones with polyurethane ones. Are they the same diameter as the standard 964's?

Is there a certain manufacturer that produces a superior product than any other?

the ones i used were the same diameter as the bush with the metal reinforcement on it. i.e. you remove both the bush and the metal band and replace with the new bush. I used powerflex same as Melv. think i used polybushes.co.uk to obtain them.

Have spare set of front wishbones for re-bushing........best offer etc.....

Go for Uniball all metal replacements if you track. You will hit the apple every time!

would they last? according to the Powerflex site, the metal bushes last for only hours!

All the track cars I know run them and they last for years. WD40 them. I guess if you use them over the winter it would not be ideal.

It gives much better handling.

Powerflex are just trying to put you off and are hardly independent!

i don't beleive the metal bushes would last as well as the powerflex ones if used for a diet of road and track and i personally would not want them on a road driven RS. The other issue with them is cost. They ain't cheap! But each to his own.
