Polyurethane wings distorting

Hello I am over here as I have got a question about the material I think your wings are made of.

On my 924 Carrera GT one of the rear arches suddenly distorted and rubbed lightly on the tyre rubber. I wondered if it were down to the hot weather (in Spain).
I took my CGT through France to Spain and around the passes of N Spain, then back on the Santander ferry.
The weather was scorching hot (driving through Pamplona at 19:00 with 37 degrees showing in a shop window) but no problems what so ever.
Waiting in the queue to board the direct sunlight plus 'normal' cars running their engines to keep the air con going created an absolutley blistering heat.
Drove off in the miserable weather here and I noticed the PU wing rubbed very gently on the tyre. It happened as I drove off the ferry I reckon, as the rub was hardly noticeable.

So, have any of you guys seen anythng similar?

And can I gently heat the wing back to shape?

Thanks

As you've had no answer from an owner, I will pitch in and say that I think 928 wings are aluminium, not GRP

Yes it's the front and rear P Us that are made from polyeurathane. As my archive photos of my written off 928 reveal, wings are from aluminium.

Boy that engine had some grunt low down.

Try asking on the 928 section of the rennlist forums. I saw an American fella talking about this a few weeks ago...

Thanks - will do

I have just come back from Angouleme (Circuit des Remparts) in it and the wing appears to have gone back to shape. In fact it appears have more clearance than the other one - ie 6mm vs 4mm !!
The changes in temp I guess
