Pool of Water !

I've just taken my (18 month old) C4S out of the garage for a run out and noticed a 2 square metre wet patch on the garage floor under the whole back end of the car. The car was last out a week ago and the garage is well ventilated, so I presume this cannot simply be condensation.

Having looked under the car the whole of the bottom of the engine and exhaust system is wet with what looks like a slightly yellow tinted liquid (coolant?). The car was serviced two months ago, but yet the coolant level is now just below the minimum mark. And finally, I've taken the oil filler cap off and there is a small amount of sludge.

Has anyone come across this problem before? Obviously I'll be giving my OPC a ring first thing in the morning, but any advice beforehand would be appreciated so I don't look like a prat.

You would be amazed!! I deal with this on an almost daily basis in residential properties.....

I've also noted a lot of salt on my garage floor recently, hardly surprising.....salt is hygroscopic, it attracts moisture, so can make the problem look worse than it is.

Thanks for the responses - I'll keep my fingers crossed it is only condensation, but worst case scenario should be a simple (warranty) fix.

Have taken her out for a short journey this afternoon (with air con off) and will check for water tomorrow.
