Although a member for many years this was my first club run. A very big thank you to Gary and Jo for organising this. Marilyn and I thoroughly enjoyed the event and it was quite a hoot driving fast behind the red "interloper". The time spent at the hospice brings one down to reality and one realises the fantastic work done there. Also a big thank you to Janet and Bob for their hospitality in the evening.

We hope to join future events and I will try to upload some pictures.

A selection of photos from Poole - hope they come out OK.

If you look back at the links I think you will find they work now having done a little editing.

To echo Jonathan's thanks - big thank you to Jo and Gary for organizing, to Janet and Bob for making us so welcome at their house (and a lovely BBQ) and again to Bob today for a thrill ride on the rib. I'm sure we've all got lots of similar photos so will try not to duplicate (if poss!) Hi to Geoff997, good to meet you yesterday and sorry for putting "big" photos on the forum (let me off this one more time?!) Brilliant weekend, brilliant weather to go with it.

Oh go on then!![:)]
A pity about that picture of the houses; Mine is just out of shot.

By about 30 miles.[:D]

Nice to have shared some time with you all and a big here here with the thanks to Janet and Bob

Great photo's shall have to invest in a better camera, I would also like to thank Gary for organising a brill weekend, and Bob & Jan for not only an excellent BBQ but the opportunity to blow the cobwebs away this morning and see the Jurassic coast line from the ocean an awesome experience and a fitting end to a great weekend. It was good to be able to put some faces to names, we should do it more often particularly if as forecast we are to have a proper summer this year, so go on Gary another drive must be possible between Reading and Wales.
Thanks to all involved for a fantastic weekend and Bob again for the visit to the hospice which I think made us all realise how lucky and privileged we are.
Geoff & Caroline.

Great pictures guys [:)] I'll go through mine and try and post some alternatives..

My Thanks go to everyone who came out over the weekend, it was a pleasure spending quality time with like minded people.
Great to catch up with old friends and make new ones.

Along with you all my sincere thanks to Bob and Jan for being such great hosts on Saturday, it was a privilege and a pleasure.
The Sunday morning trip out on the water still leaves me breathless from the views that we were fortunate enough to see, again my Thanks to Bob for making that happen[8D]

Without everyones support over this weekend it couldn't of happened, for you time and donations I genuinely thank you, we raised not only £500 for the hospice, but hopefully spirits and smiles of some of the parents and siblings at the hospice.

For those interested the numbers on Poole Quay- 101 Porsche's and the car of the night went to the Yellow Cayman.

I'm sure there will be another outing after Reading and I can only hope the weather stays as good..

Would like to echo the thoughts above, but one little story amused me. Had a Dad and his two sons in the car at Julia's House and shot off for a run round the block with them. Older lad (about 10) was wide eyed and make 'corrrr and wow' noises at the appropriate places. Dad leans round to ask younger lad (about 5) what he thinks - 'I'm hungry' comes the considered response.

Thanks again to Gary and Jo, Bob and Janet, great weekend.
Just one picture, following the giant hoover.

Thank you to everyone who came and made the weekend a success.

For me the highlight (apart from sitting in Clives car) was the visit to the Hopsice which was both very sad and very uplifting at the same time. Gemma who showed us around had a passion for her job and the hospice and a love for the children that was truly inspiring. A big thank you to all club members who took the familes and carers out for a run in their cars. A special thanks has to go to Clive. Many Ferrari owners leave their car in the garage but Clive took out more people than anyone in his car and did run after run. My photos are all of the families who we will have helped in a small way.

If any one is troubled by me showing their number plate please let me know and I will of course remove it straight away. Apologies to Geoff who has a slow connection:

For me this was the club at its best so thank you everyone. I will deliver the cash to the hospice this week together with a large photo for each family and some flowers for Gemma

I have to say that the weather helped the weekend sooooo much.
I was really surprised with how much of the traffic we did manage to miss on Saturday, hopefully everyone enjoyed the roads, views and destinations.
A great response from the register once again.

A few pictures from myself... apologies to Geoff again [;)]

Nice Pics,
Fortunately my internet connection is up to 1.8mbps today so didn't have to wait ages to download, yippee![:)]

Fantastic pics and what a fab weekend it was our first meeting and you all made us feel so welcome we'd especially like to thank Jo Gary and Bob for how much work they put into it and cant wait for another outing so pull your finger out Gary [;)] hope to see you all very soon.

Thanks again Richard and Jane

Most enjoyable weekend, Guys and Gals,

It was great meeting up with everyone up and Judith and I really had a splendid time "" even if the schedule was a bit hectic at times. Thanks to everyone for their forbearance in letting us join in. [:)]

The route as always was exceptional and the traffic generally flowed at a reasonable rate, notwithstanding the bank holiday "" even if the convoy sometimes progressed at rather less than Gary's usual pace! [8|]

The Fezza seemed quite popular at the Hospice, so it was quite a busy afternoon, highlighted and amply rewarded towards the end by a heart-melting smile from one of our youngest lady passengers! This was a very special occasion.

We were royally welcomed and entertained by Bob and family, who had gone to such trouble, setting out a marquee in the garden, accompanied by a most splendid barbeque. Thanks especially go to our hostess, Jan and daughter, Catherine, who graciously made us most welcome and kept our glasses charged! [;)]

Finally, a big thanks as always to Gary and Jo. Not only do they give up a considerable amount of their time for our benefit but they never claim one penny from the Club for their expenses (and that includes the draw prizes).

We are very fortunate indeed to have such industrious and generous organisers of events for us. [sm=kiss.gif]

Regards

Clive

I received another £20 donation so was able to deliver £520 to the hospice today together with an A3 size photo for each family and some flowers for Gemma. It seems everyone there enjoyed our visit and it will be the talking point for some weeks to come. Once again thanks everyone who supported this good cause

Excellent news Bob [:)]

We hope to be able to raise some additional funds for them during the rest of this year.
