Poole Quay 2010 - 21st May - 6pm till 9pm - PQ10/1

As some of your register have supported the Poole Quay event over the last few years,
can I bring the 2010 event to their attention.

Please view the Dorset region for more info.

I think Johny McGirl is organising the 996/997 modern car event at Silverstone on the 23rd so there is a lot happening that weekend

Gary,

You're absolutely right. [:(]

I remember now, I got them to change it 'cos it clashed with my wedding anniversary! [&:]

Regards,

Clive

Is he!! [;)]

Yes, the 23rd May is our major Club event for 2010 with the modern car event being held at Silverstone
So as Bob rightly points out its quite an active weekend.

However hopefully both events will appeal to different people at different locations in the Country... Oh! and Modern cars may possibly be limited number..!

Just to get this thread back on topic. Region 26 would appreciate the registers support as last year. Please get your name down on the list, which will generate more interest, snowball effect.

Hi All

Did the Poole this year and got my 2 sons to come. Had a good time and really enjoyed the finale at Julia' House.

For next year there will be 3 Warren Porches. In addition to the two that came this year a second son has now got a Porsche, a 996 Turbo which funnily enough was Clive's originally.

Looking forward to next years event.

Just a reminder that the Poole event takes place next weekend..
They are very close to the 100 cars mark, but still chance to join in, its a great night of cars on the Quay...

Then the Sunday is the Modern cars event at Silverstone...

Over 90 now committed to attend! If we get as many turn up without putting their name down as last year (they are still more than welcome) we will exceed last years numbers. Poole tourism have been advised of the situation. They have assured us that they can cope with 130 cars, no problem, by closing off more road to add extra space.
So whether your on the list or not, just turn up and we will find you a spot.
See you there.

151!!!![8D] (updated official figure)
What a great turnout. The quay was crammed with Porkers. We had to result to an overflow area by the hotel. Apologies to those who were directed to that area but we had exceeded the the quay capacity of approximately 130 cars.
Many thanks to everyone who attended, especially those from far away, which included one from Lancashire. Anyone beat that?
I'm sure there will be plenty of photos Gary. I've got a couple, which I'll try and post later, dont hold your breath though, as my success of uploading pictures isn't great!

Thats a super result Geoff [8D] I'm sure helped by the excellent weather!!
It will be interesting to see if the the one is run again later in the year.
