Poor radio reception

I have fitted a Porsche cdr 22 bought from eBay but disappointed with the radio reception. Checking with another unit, gave the same reception. It stays on station for a while but then drifts off....then back. What should I check first?

Aerial connection to windscreen and amplifier b4 they reach the player. Connection to windscreen is behind clock which you can pull out, easiest way is kitting yourself out with a pair of rubber gloves for gripping the surround.

Cheers Gordon but have tried the gloves and either my grip is weak or its fixed in by another method. Are they just pushed in place and held by friction then?

They are just held in by the friction of the rubber surround. You can try a bit of leverage but you need to protect every thing very carefully.

I use a flat blade screwdriver covered with a cloth to prize under the bezzle to get them started but as Gordon says you have to be very careful to avoid scratching them.
