Popping from the exhaust

When i drive my car, how shall i put this, ,,enthusiastically[:D] it pops from the exhaust when changing gear. Sometimes just a little and others its like a gun going off!!!!

Is this the norm for a chipped turbo? Does anyone else's car turbo or not do this? Is my car going to blow up?? LOL!!!!

 
Thanks Tony. At least i now know its normal and not going to blow up[:D]

A mate followed me a while back at night and said it was kicking out an impressive flame when it pops[:D][:D]
 
Mine pops too ever since I put a sports exhaust on it. I dont have a turbo tho [:(]. I have tried looking to see if I get flames but it stops when i get out to look! That and nobody is ever close enough to the back of me for too long [:D].
 
Just passed out an old dear and was going from 2nd to 3rd when mine done the same with the associated flame and the old girl nearly put the Micra over the hedge [:D]
