hi

i won this on e bay for a good price, i was hoping it would come with operation instructions but it did not so i need some help on how to operate it

as far as i can see the timing belt loops between two bars and a pin then i push down the sliding bar untill it clicks then read the tension setting, do i leave it like this as i adjust the tension or do i have to remove it then check the tension again

it looks to be fairly simple to use but just want to check with you guys before i make a mistake

thanks Alan

Hi Alan,

Its detailed in the factory workshop manual, look in the engine chapter on the following site:

All credit to Rick for hosting them.

There is an error in that section of the manual and if the instructions are followed to the letter the tension will not be correct.
