would you please circulate details of this car for sale as owned by a
recently deceased friend of mine and I'm trying to help find a buyer for
the car. The 924 is getting rarer and this is a good one. Please ring me
if interested and I'll arrange a viewing.

1988 924S, Silver. Lot of work carried out on this car over 10 years of
ownership by a mechanical engineer, including a cam belt change in 2014
and £500.00 just spent on recovering the front seats with the correct
Porsche material.

MoT is due in August but there were no advisory faults listed in 2015.

It's just been fully valeted and looks a really nice car.

Mileage, the history shows a new speedometer fitted at 40,000 but the
car has done circa 130,000 miles in total.

The front bumper needs a touch up on the side but nothing major.

It has a 924 related number plate:- GLZ 924S.

A couple of photos are attach.

Price £4,950:00 or near offer

Many thanks.

That's my old 924 S, I sold it 10 years ago to the chap that has passed away. Saddened to hear that news as he was a lovely bloke. Thoughts go out to his family.

It was a nice honest car & I was pleased to see it go to an enthusiast.

Interesting car, but might I be permitted to query the mileage?

The current Mot is at 43,744, and a there is a continuous MOT history back through 100,000 to 87,000 odd. In my experience OPC's replace speedo's with a new one which would mean some 40,000 added to the 147,000 already logged?

I do miss my 924S!

The speedo from memory was changed before my ownership for a good second hand one, if I remember correctly by Woodward motors (the independent near thornbury, Bristol).

I believe it was fully documented in the service history.

Huw,

My son is interested in the 924, do you know if the car is still available, and if so do you have any contact details?

Huw

We haven't contacted Ken Davies so far, as have been looking at other cars which are closer to home, but its still on our list.

John I would contact Ken Davies anyhow as its a lovely looking 924S and your son

would be mad to miss out on this car as to myself it looks an excellent condition car.

Don't think of the Mileage as the rare cars don't come up often and sadly you have to

drive to these cars as I had too to buy my present 987 Boxster nearly 3 hours and 135

miles but it was worth the trouble as I brought to car and if I was looking for my first car

as your son is John I would go the extra mile to view this lovely 924S and you get an interesting

number plate as a bonus, John do I need to say anymore other than go and view the car as if your

son don't buy it someone else will then you'll think maybe going the extra mile was worth it in the end.

Kevin.
