Hi guys, just thought I'd upload some fresh photos of my 2.7. It's featured in the May issue of Practical Classics out now, so grab a copy =] only one small misprint there; it had 15 former keepers as opposed to 30 =] Going to Malvern Classic Car Show on the Bank Holliday Monday (25.04.2011) if anybody would like a closer look.

It also passed its MOT today and we got fantastic weather here in Worcestershire, so I guess the 20th April will be hard to top for me =]

Just a quick question: does anybody have a 16" Design 90 rear alloy wheel for sale? As one of mine is a bit corroded on the inside and could do with replacing for a corrosion free example=]

Nothing but the truth =] The article is very accurate and while doing the car up I can vouch for al least 40% of the trouble areas mentioned =]

Fantastic looking original example in arguably the best colour.

Couldn't help noticing the clear side indicators which is a little odd - unless you fitted clear fronts to match [;)]

Your car looks very good.
None of my wheels are for sale unfortunately but just to be clear I assume it is an 8J S2 wheel you are are looking for?

Read the article today. I buy practical classics every month anyway, so it was a nice surprise to see a 944 buyers guide.

Your car looks absolutely stunning! I thought the"30 owners" thing seemed a bit far-fetched!

The wheel has got loads on surface corrosion. In fact, when I tried to get the dirt off to have a closer look using alloy wheel cleaner and a soft metal brush the dirt was lodged in so deep it wouldn't even come out :/ The other wheels are mint so that leads me to believe that the previous owner must have damaged the wheel from the original set and replaced it with the one I have now:/ You can live with it I guess, but since I saw it I won't rest until its put right :)

Read the buyers guide today in the shop.

Agree with some but they had "buy the oval dash" fever, although they did mention the square dash is more nimble. [:)]

I'd have thought that co that strips and powder coats wheels rather than just paints them would bring it up ok.
Lepsons did mine a few weeks back and they look almost new. In places they were quite badly marked. I'd recommend them for that just don't mention the balancing afterwards. 3 goes and it still isn't right!

I bought this magazine yesterday, apart from the usual errors that show it's not been written by someone who knows the cars it's pretty good as a buyer's guide. Apparently, "in 1989 the S2 replaced the 2.7-litre model". [&:] Why they don't get the articles proof-read I never know.

Really worrying was the "ask the experts" page. Someone asking for a way to repair a cracked dash on an '84 944 is told to buy a LHD oval-dash cover from the States and try to modify it! []

Have to confess to readsing it in Tesco while the mrs was shopping [8D] Generally a good write up and the car looked great!
