Porsche 944 buying tips

Hello everyone

I am interested in buying a 944 (previously had a 928S and S4) and wanted to know if I should stay clear of any particular years or gravitate towards a certain model (no turbo)

I would be particularly grateful if anyone has a list of problems to be on the lookout for or any indications of health.

It's hard to give any specific advice without knowing what your budget is and whether you are looking for a project, a decent car to drive at weekends or a museum piece for your collection.

They do rust and can look OK from the outside but actually be beyond economic repair. Look at a good one and familiarise yourself with the grot spots and what they should look like.
Mechanicals are strong but don't respond well to neglect. If you want something to actually drive then condition and regular use is more important than low mileage.
