PORSCHE (986) BOXSTER S 550 SPYDER 50TH ANNIVERSARY

Hi,

I've just bought a beautifully kept Boxster S (Tiptronic) 550 Spyder 50th Anniversary, seemingly owned & treasured by a Porsche Club GB member. I understand the person was extremely sad to sell it. Also believe the car has been featured in quite a few car magazines over the years.

I've bought the 550 Spyder as my Boxster GTS4.0 (ordered in July last year) still hasn't been given a build slot, and I'm unlikely to get it until the Autumn at the earliest. I guess many members maybe in a similar situation. So, I was looking for something special to see me through the summer & this ticks all the boxes.

The car is in truly superb condition with only a few minor things to attend to but not the IMS bearing as that's already been replaced! I am going to install the PCCM Classic Plus system as the car has zero bluetooth or other connectivity. Hope that won't upset the previous owners.

I'd just like to say it's going to a good home and will be well looked after. I will be turning up to some Porsche Club events during the summer, and it will be in the performance parking area at Goodwood FOS. Perhaps I will meet the previous owner.

Thanks to all previous owners for keeping it in such good condition.

Regards
Brian

Nice car had one a good few years ago was also Tiptronic Grey /Black interior and hood ...some came with a brownish interior and hood cant remember what they call it .I sold it to a chap in Ireland when on a trip over there with R1 he asked if I was ever selling give him a call . cant remember the limited edition number 1960? was well admired in the GT Silver and the darker wheels ,enjoy it.

If your car is Tiptronic it is possible iit belonged to a member of staff at PCGB HQ Corbiry House.

Your right Cliff. May not be his old car of course but, the discription by new owner and the fact it's tiptronic has my money on that. Sweet car:rolleyes:

I have been told officially it is the previous membership managers car.
That would be Chris Sweeting who left the club last year. Such a sad loss to the club.
