Hi, Long shot but I recently purchased a 991.1. My son has a wheelchair which when dismantled can fit in the boot but leaves no room for anything else. Does anyone have the RTS bars for the 991 surplus to requirements that I could fit for longer journeys?

Porsche 991.1 Roof Transport System Wanted

I would suggest you keep an eye on ebay. I got mine there for £150 vs the £460 they are new. You should be able to get at least 10% off the new cost though.
Having transported my late mother to regular hospital visits, her wheel chair when folded used to fit in the back with the seats down. I could never have got it into the frunk.
When the roof bars are fitted there is a significant gap between them so you would need to add a platform to add a wheelchair.
BTW. If you go to a dealer, don't expect them to know how to fit them! I enquired first before buying as I could not see an obvious way. I even asked Porsche GB who were equally useless and just told me to ask a dealer. In the end I found a video on Youtube from a Canadian Porsche Centre who showed howed to fit them. FYI, the ends of the rubber seal on the edge of the roof lift up. A tool supplied with the bars makes this simple. Then two little pegs are rotated up for the bars to mount to. The bars don't actually sit on the roof.

Thank you!
