WEnt down to our local club event on Worcester last week and got home to find the Tail pipe loose (After Market)

I came away in my hand.

On examination I found the clamp completely rusted away - the other side was the same.

I am sure its only about 15 months old

So moral of the story have a look on a regular basis

Costly if it had dropped off!!

Replaced mine 3 times in 5 years, got two spare in the garage. They are not made of the best material, not sure if the OEM Porsche parts would be any better.

I have replaced 2 OEM tailpipe clamps (near-side both times) twice in last 6 years - off-side item still looks fine.
Good advice re checking and keeping a spare replacement - tricky to do on one's own I found - a third
hand would have made it an easy job.

I lost my near side tail pipe...ironically whilst enroute to get the car serviced! Managed to source one from a scrap dealer....but took a while to find it. Now check clamps regularly!
