Porsche 996 Turbo S. boost issues. Help or ideas needed

Whilst that may be true of a lambda sensor, there are many other sensors that DO NOT trigger the CEL (on a UK car), but will store a fault in the fault register. These sensors include MAF, Air intake temperature, throttle potentiometer, and many others.ORIGINAL: stv951
.....If there was a problem with the lambda then i would have a check emgine light on..........
Start by getting a diagnostic check done, to see if there are any faults recorded.

I have a std 420 hp 996tt with tubi exhaust and I have never seen the boost gauge go past 0.5 so 0.7 on the S seems reasonable. Does it feel down on power? I could easily lose my license in 3rd gear and fourth was 123 at 0.5 at Bedford and bloody quick at that.
I also have a standard car with tubi, and seeing 0.6-0.7 is no problem (and quite normal ), so don't know why you're only getting 0.5. Only problem I have now is that after picking it up from a service yesterday, I saw as much as 1.4! So it went straight back for a check.
An S should be seeing 0.8-0.9 max.
