Porsche 997 4s Cabrio Tiptronic

Paris

New member
Hi guys,

I am new on this site. I have one problem that i would like to share just in case anyone can help.

I have the car listed above. It is a 2008 model and it runs smoothly. Only 7k miles on the car. However i do have the following problem:

When i break, just before the car comes to a stop, when the force shifts (to bring car to a complete stop), there is a thump/thud from the undercarriage. I can feel the thump from under my foot when i rest it next to teh break pedal.

Anyone knows/heard of this?

Thanks guys

Possible worn control arm bushes or similar I'd of thought...but at only 7K [&:] maybe not??
What have you left in the front boot [;)]

Sounds like the tiptronic is engaging first just as you come to a halt. Try manual mode and hold in gear and see if the same thing happens.
Just a thought.

Hi guys,

Thanks for the replies. Greatly appreciated. I am new here i only just bought my car less than 1 month ago.

I have an OPC warranty yes. Also it doesn't make any nosie just feel a gentle thump when my foot rests next to teh break pedal and not on teh foot rest. I will try going manual tonight after work see if the thum becomes less or disappears.

Appreciate all the replies guys. Thank you
