Porsche 997 Carrera 2S Gen 2 White

I broke with Tradition of having another Black 911 this time and bought a White 997 Cab with a Black Roof.

As it's an unusual colour choice I thought that I would upload a photo on the forum.

I collected the car in October 2008 and so far am very pleased with the car.

Come on Philip, you may as well own up and say your sister has a White Cayenne and your Mum has a White 130 BMW !!!

As far as the family are concerned, White is the new black.

When the BMWwas ordered the sales Manager wanted a huge deposit because it was White with a high Spec. Now, they want to buy it back and are offerering more for it than a comparable Silver or Black model.

I think you should do a White car line up photo............. Cool !!

My 997 is a PDK gearbox which is very fast and smooth when changing up or down.

The only criticism of PDK is that it tends to rolls back when you are on a hill, I spoke to the dealer and they said this is normal.

Yes my sister does have a new White Cayenne GTS Nov 08 model and Mum does have a White BMW 130i M Sport.

In the 50's/ 60's & early 70's it was mainly either black or white... or omainly white in my father's case. Got so sick of the colour after his 3rd white car that I promessed myself I would never have one... Funny to see 40 years later the colour is back in fashion...

My Dad was a civil servant in the motor trade (RTITB) and was always given white cars; no choice, and they said it was the safest colour. Shame they never handed out Porsche's though - they were always *base model* Escorts and the like: no head rests, no radio, manual seat belts, sometimes not even wing mirrors!
