Porsche AG press release

Following released today:

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG of Stuttgart, Germany, is now offering a SportDesign package for the Boxster and Boxster S roadster models. This new individualization option comprises spoiler lips for mounting on the standard front trim, an automatically extending, redesigned rear spoiler, and a modified rear trim with an integrated diffuser.

In addition to providing a particularly striking and sporty appearance, the new SportDesign package improves aerodynamics. The lifting forces on the front and rear axles are reduced without air resistance being increased, which further supports the vehicle's finely-tuned, roadster-specific balance. The shape of the rear trim with the integrated diffuser evokes a conscious association with the Carrera GT high-performance sports car. The automatically extending rear spoiler, which has been designed according to the divided wing principle, contributes further to this association. All of the SportDesign package's attractive components are painted in the vehicle's exterior color, and blend in harmoniously with the Boxster's dynamic visuals.

Porsche is offering the SportDesign package worldwide. In Germany, it can be ordered from Porsche Exclusive for 4,060 Euros (incl. sales tax) on purchase of a new vehicle. For retrofitting, it is available from Porsche Tequipment for 3,422 Euros (incl. sales tax) plus labor.

Ahh - I think they were posted here recenly... I'm sure I've seen them before.

So - shock! The Cayman wing fits the Boxster! Who would have thought it? []

No, but as they are offering it now, presumably it's not embargo'ed? The news release is available to anyone who logs in to Porsche.com. It's just that the news items on Porsche.com only ever have photo's available to those registered on the Press part of the site. I wasn't meaning to break any embargo.

Shouldn't we have sufficient Press rights to allow us to post them here anyway? We are a publisher. Obviously any date restrictions would be respected...

the photos are not embargoed but are only for 'journalistic' use - I do not want to jeopardise my access to the AG press site by breaking their rules...

Your wish is my command ....You have mail[;)]

£2773.00 If Factory Ordered

Never mind - I understand that you can see the bodykit pictures at your local friendly dealer now. At least as the kit is available "from March" I assume you must be able to see what you are getting for the 2 and 3/4 grand asking price [:D]

Seems odd that Porsche do not want Press photos used on their approved club websites - I do assume we are allowed to publish in the magazine? If so I'd like to be able to put it in my next Register Submission.

That's an improvement on the last sport design / spoiler kit which was pretty ugly imho.
