Porsche alarm - turning off interior sensors

My 1990 S2 is fitted with the standard Porsche alarm system.
Is it possible to turn off the interior sensors to allow the roof panel to be left out and/or the windows partially open?
My old Lux had an after-market system which allowed the sensors to be switched off but I cannot find any reference to this with the Porsche system.
All I have been able to do so far is to remove fuse no.8 but this deactivates the system completely along with the central locking.
