I am looking for 20 genuine Black Alloy Wheel Nuts for one of my 944's. Good quality ones please [:)]

Will take smaller amounts to get the 20 required.

M14 with 1.5 thread pitch and 60 degree radius is the size I believe. Have a look at these.

I will add that you should buy steel if youre thinking about any sort of competition, even a little hillclimbing, as alloy wheel nuts are prohibited. Ive never had a scrute mention it to me, but I read about someone needing them recently as a result of this.

Id hope so! When I last bought some from an OPC (20yrs ago) they were £4ea before discount. The list price is now almost £12ea before discount. That's £235 per car!

I recently got a set of locking wheel nuts for my other car and it was only £5 dearer than standard nuts for 4 [:-]

Martin, have you tried a engineering firm that will make them out of any material you require.
heavens above british made nuts on a german car.

Porsche Apart have these, not OE but presume they are good if they sell them? We know Porsche don't make the nuts so I'd imagine quality is as good?

Autoatlanta list an OEM equivalent at half the price of genuine Porsche, must be someone in the UK with the same supplier.

They must be making a decent profit from these which suggests they may not be any better than something you could organise to manufacture yourselves ! (Assuming sufficient quantity etc). It's a bit of a lottery hitting buy now in terms of quality. Probably ok though.

So are these any better than the Porsch Apart ones? They are both alloy and look the same spec wise

Cheers Colin I think that's my decision made [;)]

Martin, buy a soft socket i bought mine from Frazerpart for fitting and removing and do not let the tyre monkey's near them with a windy gun PS they weigh 18 grammes a piece as do the OEM locking bolts, do not loose the key for the lockers as if you try to knock on a smaller socket they will shear as there is a shear point machined into them.
You should have mentioned as i have a brand new set of locking bolts here.
I believe OPC carry all the key bolts should you loose yours.

I took the key locking nuts off as one of the keys snapped and replaced with the newer socket type. I've already got a soft socket and never use an impact wrench on my cars [;)]

Spot the difference! OPC supplied v's 'OE supplier' from Design 911

They may be the same material, look similar and be the same size. They may hold the wheel on the same way. But the edges are not finished as well as the OPC version. Hence a difference in price me thinks
