Porsche Assistance massive fail

Has anyone had a bad experience with the Porsche Assist service?

Sorry for the long rant but wanted to share my experience.

Found I had a substantial oil leak and called the Porsche assistance line at 1130. Very promptly an AA van appeared and a quick look confirmed what I had expected in that recovery to Tonbridge OPC was required.

A recovery truck and replacement car were booked and the patrol went on to his next customer. By 12.15 I had a call from enterprise asking for more info. Then radio silence.

Enterprise called just over 2 hours later and say they can get me a car but I have to go to a location nearly an hour‘s drive away. No more delivery slots available for that day. Call PA and ask if there are any other hire providers available. Left it with them and they come back saying they will arrange a cab to take me. Ok so a 2 hour round trip but back by 6pm to cook dinner for the visiting relatives.

Get a call saying car can’t be picked up tonight. Can they get it tomorrow? Guess it’s ok as it won’t be worked on until Monday anyway.

Cab turns up after an hour wait and deposits me at enterprise. Except the brightly lit office is closed with no one on site. It’s 6C and i’m outside starting to freeze whilst explaining to an incredulous PA person what has happened.

After 20 minutes on hold and starting to lose the feeling in my fingers they explain that they can’t get me a car tonight and they have called a cab to take me home again! My teeth are chattering from enjoying the views of downtown Maidstone for an a hour and a quarter including the 40 minute Wait for my cab.

Fortunately my driver comes from the Mario Andretti school of cab driving as he is going so fast he is barely in control. At least there was one highlight.
