Well, I will post my congratulations to all concerned for another excellent evening - and I don't even own a Porsche anymore!!

Food again was of outstanding quality and good to see some of the old faces. My only criticism would be that 10:45 was a bit late to start the dancing

Thanks to all for organising, and can I come again next year?

Hi Gary,
Many thanks for your reaction to the Region Dinner & Dance on the 19th January. As the organiser I appreciate all input, criticisms included, for that is how things can be improved. My problem is that to start the formal evening any earlier isn't an option, unless we delete the Reception drinks and canapes and that's never going to happen. We can leave out one course from the menu, but you agree the food is outstanding, so that's not likely. We could leave out the response by yours truly to the Toast 'Region 23', but you wouldn't want to deprive me of my 10 minutes exposure in the year would you? Then there is the raffle which does take about 15 minutes, but does raise a lot of money for good causes like the Sussex Air Ambulance last year. I believe for an annual event the balance between formal and informal is about right, but could be fine tuned, and I have taken on board your observation. More importantly, of course you can come again next year, you and your friends will be made most welcome. I have made a provisional booking for you, same time, same place, January 17th 2009 the date. Glad to have you on board.
best regards, John 'Jeb' Jones, Regional Organiser [:)][:)][:)]
