Your battery will most likely be flat in Spring so yes.

CTEK have a good reputation and are easy to use.

I purchased a Ctek MXS 5.00 earlier in the year. It is excellent. Once connected it will look after the battery, condition it and bring it right up to charge. About £59.00 online Amazon I recall.

The Porsche version looks and is I beleive identical but more expensive.

Porsche Battery Conditioner i will be not using my cayman during the winter months are these a good investment ???

Buy one from Lidl. They have them in this week. They cost £13.99 and are every bit as good as the Cteks. Do not be put off by the low price, they are good bits of kit.

There are many PCGB members using them.

Like many others I have had one from LIDL for years and it's been very good, a Porsche own brand one ( Rebadged Ctek ) gave me problems so for the price and the addition of a plug to connect into the lighter socket I'll stick with the LIDL item.

I have the Porsche branded ctek unit , no issues what so ever and cant complain about the £85 purchase price.

Michael,

As others have said, the CTEK unit is an excellent piece of kit - I've used one for the past 5 years or so - and it comes with two means of connecting to the battery: croc clips and eyelets, but you can also purchase a cigarette lighter socket connector which will be suitable for your Gen2 Cayman.
