Hi everybody,
I have just adquired a GP white 1987 standard carrera and I am over the moon!
Being a classic car owner and after a string (well three really) of triumphs TRs and then mercedes SLs including a Pagoda I understand now all the fuss about Porsches.
It may "only" have 231 cv and awkward bumpers but boy it goes and sounds like glory. It is becoming so adictive I am begining to worry, do you folks have the same symptoms? Do you get worst over time?
If you are ever driving in Madrid give me a call.

Javier

Welcome Javier!

Yes, I have the same symptoms every time I get behind the wheel!! [:D] Enjoy your car!

Iv had mine for just over a year and still pop into the garage to stroke her ! [;)] Thats soooo sad, but sooo adictive [:D][:D][:D]

I have to agree with you all, I go into the garage every morning for my push bike and always have a little stroke of that smooth, shiny paint work and savour that lovely smell of Porsche....................................

I don't totally understand what's goin' on here, with all this kissin' and cuddlin'. I also go to my garage daily, but all I do is, get in the car, crank up the flat-six and ...................... GO! [:)]

ps...i know that this is of topic before anyone says so....

I share the same porsche bug! My car was kept away getting some servicing and had to stay away an extra two days! I worried bout her more than the missus when she is away!
Will some careless person be mis-using her (the 911) - i wish i could do all my own servicing. Also beware the concourse bug - it only makes things worse! And then theres the turbo bug - stay with the Carreras and preserve your licences!

When you get bored with the power of the carrera move on to the turbo (took me 5 years).

You are supposed to sell your carrera though. I just can't bear to part with him (it).

Oops, tyre size 205/60-15" front and 225/55-15" back. Still they do not seem very common<
