We have been invited to meet with R18 at Porsche Centre Kendal. Last year saw around twenty five R3 cars travel west for this event on a glorious sunny Sunday morning and one of the best runs back home of 2016 later on. Visitors entries are now open for the concours competition should anyone wish to partcipate entry form can be found here. Rules & regs are here. I would like to organise two convoys again if possible one from possibly Hexham Services and one travelling across the A66 if any takers from the South of our region. I intend on a less direct route home if anyone would like to join us. Deb & I have become rather fond of the drive from Brough, through Middleton-in-Teesdale, to Stanhope. Please add to this thread if you intend to go to allow the guys at the Centre to cater for numbers, and also if you intend to represent R3 at the concours.

**MEETING POINT UPDATE**

We have two convoys making the trip across one meeting at Hexham Services NE46 4DL for 8.00am, departing at 8.15am allowing time for an early morning drive via Hartside and Penrith.

Anyone travelling across the A66, Dave Redfearn has kindly organised to meet at the Cross Lanes Cafe on the A66 DL12 9RT for 9.00am.

John and I will be coming along and would like to meet up at Hexham services. We don't wish to participate in the concourse though.

We'll be there, hopefully in the Boxster if a certain Porsche approved body shop are able to paint a bumper correctly at the second time of asking (why me?). So maybe in Pink Thunder.

Cracking day last year, lets hope for the same weather.

We'll meet at Hexham.

would be interested in joining in, haven't decided yet but may sign myself up and join in on the concourse. has anyone else put there name down from the R3 reign?

Might also be interested in this one.

Am off to the south west for a week and have a supercar driving experience at Rockingham booked for Thursday next week so won't be back until Friday next week.

Might also think about the concours event but would have only Saturday to clean it up after a 1000 mile round trip down south.

Would probably go the A66 route.

Would love to attend this event but flying out on me holibobs on the Saturday.

Hopefully next time

Andy and Angela

I'll be waiting at The Cross Lanes Organic cafe on the A66 from about 8.45am. Take off will be c 9am. When turning off the A66 for the cafe remember to enter car park via the second gate, which is the official entrance, the first gate will likely to be closed as cafe not open until 10am . Look forward to seeing the southern R3's in their gleaming Porsches!

Battle of the Boxters here! - may the best man win as the saying goes - now Marky, don't be nibbling the Kendal mint cake in the Boxter S - you'll be deducted points for "minty crumbs" - nothing worse !

Mines not in the concours, its getting the paint film applied to the new bumper (Friday) and Gtechniq (Saturday). Too short notice I'm afraid. I shall be ready for Witton though. Aiming for second this time :)

Weather looking good for Kendal on Sunday, 18 degrees sunny with a little cloud [:)]. Don't forget your sun cream (hopefully).
