Porsche Centre Newcastle request.

Our friends at Porsche Centre Newcastle have very kindly asked if any of our members with a Porsche under 4 years old would be interested in a free wheel alignment check and adjustment if required.
I believe it is a training day for some of the tech guys at the centre, so Scott has very kindly extended an invite to PCGB members only, to use this opportunity to have your pride and joy checked FOC. It's a great chance, if you have never been, to take a look around the excellent facilities they have at their Silverlink centre and workshops.
Judging by the state of our roads today it's also a good way to prolong the life of your tyres rather than have them wear out prematurely due to misalignment problems.
As most of you will know I own a tyre centre in the North East, and think this is an excellent idea and money saving offer from Scott and his team and it will be very interesting to see their alignment system in action.

Date to be confirmed.
Requirements:
Must be a current club member.
Must be able to attend on a weekday between 4.30pm-6.30pm
Offer is for ten cars only (so first come first served, so be quick)
Vehicle must be under 4 years old.

I think it is to ensure that the alignment can be adjusted easily and quickly in a relatively short length of time, thus enabling more training time to a varied range of models. Older vehicles can throw up some real issues when trying to make adjustments due to seized track rods and worn suspension etc.
After all, these guys don't have to make this offer available to us and could just pull in several sales cars to work on. It would be real shame if some of our club members didn't get to benefit from the gesture.Should anyone else wish to have an alignment check done at the OPC I am sure they would be more than happy to oblige at a later date where more time could be allocated to your vehicle. Sorry if this offends any of our members with older models.

Hi,
I have just joined the club today having bought my first Porsche three months ago.
My Boxster is just over four and a half years old and have heard that poor wheel alignment can wreck the tyres (as with any car).
Just wondered how strict the Porsche Centre would be on the 4 year max requirement.
Keith
