Porsche centre or Specialist 96K service

I would suggest you use the OPC, especially if its been seviced by them already/currently.
My car is similar milage with OPC warranty and they always find stuff on the car that needs doing under warranty. Also, if your car has full OPC service then a non-OPC BIG service may effect the re-sale value seeing it seems to be an important service.

Nice choice car too! I drove a 2000 C4 Cab with 30k miles.
I am of the camp to advise for OPC servicing, sure things can go wrong, they aint always perfect, any problems I have had where minor, but they do have all the correct equipment and knowledge to do the work. And who knows they might spot somethign that needs attention and do it under your extended warrenty, the indy cant do that.

Two options I looked at before having my 96k service done by Hartech:
1. get the service done by an OPC according to the menu price only - any extra work not covered by the warranty would be done by an indie garage (at a lower labour rate hopefully)
2. have an indie do the service and any extra bits not covered by the warranty - then get the OPC to fix anything covered by the warranty
After some thought I'm having my car's 96k service done by Hartech in Bolton this week and I'll be putting it on their maintenance plan afterwards. I'm getting a broken cooling fan replaced by Porshce under the extended warranty this week after it was highlighted during the service.
I can only get the extended OPC warranty for another year so I decided to get it on the Hartech plan a year early and save a bit of cash on the extended warranty and service cost.

Garry
