Porsche centre Silverstone - run your own car

Hi there,

Has anyone done the £165 half day at Silverstone where you run your own car around the Porsche track? Not a bad price to get some tuition and also a bit of time in another car too. I have to (someone has to) do a Ferrari 355 experience up that way and wondering if it would be a worthy addition!

Cheers,

Mark

If this really is on £165 for a half day with tuition on the Porsche special track(s), with my own car, then maybe it's worth a few of us 993ers going along as a group for a fun (half) day out - I'm particularly interested in taking my own car on their track - I know a 997.2 is going to be amazing, but I want to understand the dynamic of my own car!

The latest press release I had from Porsche about this said that the instructors giving tuition on this deal are now Vicky Butler-Henderson and Mark Webber! It also said that you do half of the time in your own car and half in a 997 provided by Porsche.

Hi

I would be interested in this so long as its a "safe" day without immature drivers doing same...

i work for the red bull f1 team and know mark on a personal level i think it would be great to have a lesson from him and vicky in the 997 and our own cars ,when will this take place etc? and who is sorting out the day?

I'd like to do both this own-car session and the other new session where to get to play with three different generations of 911.

I believe it is Vicky Butler-Henderson and Tiff Needell. (Joke! - Couldn't resist). It will be the centre instructors, but I don't hknow any more details than are on the flyer or the web site.
