Advice sought on the following.
Following the issues in carrying out a 12K service last January (in which my car came out in worse shape than it went in), I am in the unfortunate position of having to send my car back to Porsche Centre West London tomorrow for warranty repair work to some mechanical components in the engine. Their service advisor has just contacted me to tell me that the courtesy car they promised me is now no longer available.
In the meantime I have had to fork out extra to insure the courtesy car (as it was going to be a Boxster S and is worth more than my current car). Porsche Centre West London will now no longer be able to provide me with a courtesy car for the duration of the repair work which is one week.
Hence, I will now be without a car for a week. My own car has a fault that must be repaired under warranty. I am out of pocket due to having to insure the courtesy car that I won't be getting and I will now be further out of pocket to provide my own transport for a week.
Clearly, this level of service is unacceptable but how can pressure be brought to bear upon Chiswick? Is there anything that Porsche Club GB can do to help someone that purchased a Porsche thinking they were buying a quality car backed up by quality service. I have seen no quality in the car (mechanical engine problem after one year from new) and certainly no quality in the OPC standards of service.
