Porsche Classic Poll

All Early 911'ers.

Porsche are putting more and more emphasis behind their 'Porsche Classic' service - which is resulting in more and more parts for our cars being available.

As part of this Porsche Classic are asking as many Classic owners as possible to complete the online 'Porsche Classic Survey' - it's very easy - and the more of us can provide an idea of what we're looking for, hopefully the better the service will get.

You can find the survey here:

http://www.porsche.com/international/classic-questionnaire/

Thanks everyone

Philip

It would be nice if Porsche start manufacturing early parts again. Having to choose between either a pattern part (which are never 100% the correct size) and a later Porsche part (which has to be modified before using) is a PITA.

So when can you buy brand new, un-numbered, Porsche 2.7 RS cases? [;)]

Last I heard - you still can [:D]

The factory will restamp the new case with your old number - provided the old case is given to them to be destroyed.

I've also heard there are plans to remanufacture the 7R.......

Mark - 'cmon - Porsche made less than 5,000 pre-A's! [:D]

yep they still made it.. should be on the list.

Philip it's bit of a home goal to contuct a survey and miss off the car / model that started it all!! [;)]

dear me.. not good. anyway it would be a great way to start to find out how many Pre A owners are out there. I know for one a list of owners that have not seen any club of any type and they have owned the cars for years!

But very good to see some feedback wanted from the classic owners.. it's about time..I am happy to support any thing they want if it means abit more positive attitude from Porsche towards us..

[:D]

Yes - I agree - but I don't think its a priority yet - the parts are so different in many cases. But I'll mention it

If you think about it 'commercially' - which Porsche have to - they're in business to make money for salaries / shareholders etc., then the Pre-A market is very small - and well serviced by specialists in the US.

That's the bit I picked up on [;)]

I've added my grain of sand to the pile - how long before it grows to be a mountain?

Are the other Classic Registers encouraging their members to complete the survey?
Had it not been for your post, I wouldn't have known about it.

Let's hope that it won't be too long before the acorn germinates!

Thanks to all who've completed it - I believe the deadline for the survey is March 9th - so come on those of you who haven't completed it yet [:D]

Philip

I give up! I have had four attempts and each time I get to 93% it tells me to complete all fields there are only three boxs, dob and two price boxes all completed????????
