Once again we have kindly been invited by the Porsche Club of France to join them in there annual get together in and around Le Touquet (about an hour from Calais). I have done this a few times over the years and last year a group of us from the kent region went over for the weekend and had a great time.

I have the full details if anyone is interested but the basic set up is as follows.

Saturday 9 September
09.00 - Assembly and welcome coffee at Hotel Mercure de Lesquin (just south of Lille) then depart in convoy for St Omer.
10.30 - Boat trip on the marsh waterways of the Audomarois - Complements of C P F
12.00 - Lunch at Salperwick (just this side of St Omer) - 30 Euros per person (including drinks)
15.00 - Visit to Crystal d'Arques factory OR La Coupole Museum - 5 Euros or 7.50 Euros respctively
18.00 - Re-assemble on the main square in St Omer
20.00 - Dinner at the Manoir du Brule OR Chateau de Beaulieu - 50 Euros OR 90 Euros per person respectively

Sunday 10 September
09.30 - Scenic Drive in convoy to Le Touquet
11.30 - Assemble at The Hippodrome in Le Touquet with your Porsches (for static classic car display)
12.30 - Aperitif and lunch at The Westminster Hotel - 55 Euros per person
15.00 - Exibition and Concours at The Hippodrome OR visit the Town of Le Touquet

I have to say this really was a fabulous weekend and the food and restaurants chosen by Porsche Club France simply superb, we were made very welcome by everyone the whole weekend, if you have never been to Le Touquet and in particular the Westminster it really is worth a visit.

You can book your own hotel if the above is not suitable and as always in France you can get a room at very reasonable rates.

I looked on the internet yesterday and currently the crossings are coming up at £59 for the shuttle and £145 for the boat ??? not sure what went wrong there but boat return should be cheaper than the shuttle.
If anyone is interested in going along please contact me asap and I can forward the full details to you.

Regards
